Picolitre Press is a (very) small press based in Naarm/Melbourne. It is an experimental “side project” with a particular focus on the space between DIY zines and art books. They might not always be zines, they might not always be books, but they certainly are published artefacts. Wow!

GUTSPILL #1
$27.00

GUTSPILL is a zine about play experiences that make us feel, ponder, and want to barf up some words and pictures. We don’t care about game industry talk or metrics–we just want to shamelessly gush about how games embed themselves in our brains and hearts and guts.

The zine brings together creative works around a loose theme, with our debut issue inspired by the word ring. Including spilling in the form of writing by James O'Connor and James Wood (the Jameseses) and art by Lizzi Morris and ohokneat.

GUTSPILL is a collaboration between co-editors Hope Lumsden-Barry, who contributes illustration, design, freaky little clay guys, and publishes the zine through her small press Picolitre Press, and Josefina Huq, who contributes writing and editing.

  • Put the phone down and take a peak behind the television screen of The Ring, Mulholland Drive, and Grand Theft Auto IV as James O’Connor documents histories of horror and mobile play.
